50th Anniversary of the Marshall Space Flight Center

On Sept. 8, 1960, President Dwight D. Eisenhower formally dedicated the George C. Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., as a new field installation of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Current and former residents and visitors are invited back to Huntsville September 8 to witness the unveiling of a historic marker and participate in other activities planned to marked this historic occasion.
