42 Annual State of Alabama Sports Hall of Fame Induction Banquet

This is the 42nd year that the State of Alabama has honored some of this State’s greatest sports heroes. The Class of 2010 includes:  Reita Clanton (Team Handball), Howard Cross (Football), Robert Horry (Basketball), Bobby Johns (Football), Ronald McKinnon (Football), Ben Tamburello (Football), Ed Salem (Football) and George “Mule” Suttles (Baseball).  The 2010 Distinguished Sportsman is Rick Woodward.  (He built Rickwood Field which is the oldest active baseball stadium in America).  Along with the Class of 2010 there will be approximately 40 other inductees in attendance.
