Scarham Creek

Scarham is a nice step up from Town Creek for intermediate whitewater paddlers looking to improve their skills on a short run with a variety of well-spaced rapids. Rapids begin with Ab's surprise, a brief drop through the trees, then Munch Stop. Munch Stop has a big rock on the left and a big hole down the middle. One rapid ends with a beautiful waterfall plunging into the creek from a cliff on river right. The last class III+ rapid is a fun eddy hop that increases in difficulty until you reach a slot on the left at the bottom. Finally, at the confluence with Short Creek, Terminator rapid is a IV+ which can be portaged on river left.
