Ogle Stadium is a 9,000-seat stadium located on the southern end of Decatur High School's campus. It is owned by the Decatur City Schools The stadium is named after former coach, and Alabama Sports Hall of Famer, H.L. "Shorty" Ogle, who led the Red Raiders from 1933 to 1963. Both of the high schools in Decatur play their home games in this stadium. The one exception is the Decatur Vs. Austin game. In this case, one team sits on the away side while the other occupies the home side. The schools alternate each year. This football game usually sells out the stadium, and brings in crowds of over 10,000. Prior to 1949, the Decatur High football team played all games at a 3,000-person capacity Benson Field that is now a part of Rhodes Ferry Park along the shores of the Tennessee River next to the old Riverview High School.

Directions:: Ogle Stadium is adjacent to Decatur High School and Decatur General Hospitlal. From Huntsville at the intersection of I65 and I565, travel west 2.8 mi. to U.S. 31 S. Take U.S. 31 S. to Decatur. After you cross the Tennessee River Bridge, from the intersection of U.S. 31 and Wilson St. continue south on U.S. 31 (6th Ave) for .8 miles to the intersection of U.S. 31 S. (6th Ave.) and Prospect Dr. S.E. (after you cross the bridge you will go under 8 traffic ights, turn right at the 9th light). Turn left onto Prospect Dr. S.E. and travel .3 miles to the intersection of Prospect Dr. S.E. and Somerville Rd. S.E. Decatur High School is on the right; Ogle Stadium is behind the school. Turn right on the unnamed paved alley immediately after the intersection of Prospect Dr. S.E. and 9th Ave. S.E. to the Visitor's Field House at Ogle Stadium. From I-65 S., take Exit 340A on I65 South and turn right onto Hwy. 20 W. From the intersection of I65 and I565, travel west 2.8 mi. to U.S. 31 S. Take U.S. 31 S. to Decatur. After you cross the Tennessee River Bridge, from the intersection of U.S. 31 and Hwy. 20 (Wilson St.), continue South on U.S. 31 (6th Ave.) for .8 miles to the intersection of U.S. 31 South (6th Ave.) and Prospect Drive S.E. (after you cross the bridge you will go under 8 traffic lights, turn right at the 9th light).
