Joe Davis Stadium was built in 1985 to host the Southern League Huntsville Stars, and has seen many great players come through such as Jose Canseco, Mark McGwire, Jason Giambi, Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson, Tim Hudson, Ben Sheets, Frank Thomas, Dontrelle Willis, Miguel Tejada, Terry Steinbach, Scott Brosius, Alex Rodriguez, Tom Glavine, Chipper Jones, Andruw Jones, Jeff Francoeur, Kerry Wood, Prince Fielder, Rickie Weeks, Carlos Delgado, and Mark Prior. The stadium is is also the home for the UAH Chargers baseball team and is also used for various high school baseball tournaments throughout the season. The stadium seats 10,200 with 15 air-conditioned skyboxes. Ticket offices and general office are located on the second floor of the stadium. Two giant Tri-Visions in the shape of stars give the outfield a unique look along with a new state of the art scoreboard and videoboard. Closed circuit television above the main concourse allows for viewing of the game while grabbing a bite at the concession stands. Huntsville's famous Billy Ray's grill located on the third base concourse has been a fan favorite for years. "The Joe," as it is affectionately called, has hosted three Southern League champions and five divisional champions. We look forward to seeing you this season out a Joe W. Davis Municipal Stadium.

Directions:
Joe Davis Stadium is located just off of South Memorial Parkway in the heart of Huntsville. Look for our frontage sign along the Parkway adjacent to the stadium entrance on Don Mincher Drive. From Nashville (approx 2 hrs) I-65 South to I-565 East. Past Space and Rocket Center to Exit 19A (South Memorial Parkway.) Take the Drake Ave. exit onto the access road running parallel to the Parkway. Go through the light at Drake Ave., turn right on Don Mincher Drive at the Stadium frontage sign. From Birmingham (approx 2 hrs) I-65 North to I-565 East. Past Space and Rocket Center to Exit 19A (South Memorial Parkway.) Take the Drake Ave. exit onto the access road running parallel to the Parkway. Go through the light at Drake Ave., turn right on Don Mincher Drive at the Stadium frontage sign. From Chattanooga (approx 2 hrs) I-24 West to 72 West through Scottsboro. 72 West into Huntsville. Will become I-565 when you get to Huntsville. Take South Memorial Parkway exit to the Drake Ave. exit onto the access road running parallel to the Parkway. Go through the light at Drake Ave., turn right on Don Mincher Drive at the Stadium frontage sign. From Atlanta (approx 3.5 hrs) Follow directions from Birmingham.
